Sorry to those movie execs who had this fantastic 'idea' but... well, it's stupid isn't it. It's like doing a movie adaptation of the Mafia games, which are clearly games taking their inspiration from movies. They seem to think they'll have Brad Pitt in it, which should guarantee a few ticket sales no matter how bad it is I suppose.
Red Dead Redemption is no doubt wonderful (that's right, I still haven't played it) but from excerpts I've watched and the opinion of others (which, granted, I usually try to ignore) it seems it's very much influenced by the old great westerns. To make a movie adaptation of a game adaptation of a movie is just plain daft.
